Hon. Eric Brand Butler-Henderson was born on 26 September 1884.1 He was the son of Alexander Henderson, 1st Baron Faringdon and Jane Ellen Davis.2 He married Hon. Sophia Isabelle Butler Massey, daughter of Lionel Edward Massey, 5th Baron Clarina of Elm Park and Sophia Mary Butler, on 10 December 1910.1 He died on 18 December 1953 at age 69.1
He was given the name of Eric Brand Henderson at birth.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 On 21 December 1910 his name was legally changed to Eric Brand Butler-Henderson by Deed Poll.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Berkshire Yeomanry.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1929.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1
