     He was given the name of Francis George Glencairn Cunningham at birth.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900, where he was wounded.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders.¹

     Geoffrey Stanley Phipps Hornby was the son of Admiral of the Fleet Sir Geoffrey Thomas Phipps Hornby.² He married Jessie Wilson Gunston, daughter of Thomas Bernard Gunston and Marion Wilson, in 1884.² He died on 9 November 1927.²

     Violet Jessie Phipps Hornby was the daughter of Geoffrey Stanley Phipps Hornby and Jessie Wilson Gunston.² She married Lt.-Col. Francis George Glencairn Cuninghame, son of Francis Goode Cuningham and Jean Elizabeth Hutton, on 9 July 1912.¹ She died on 28 June 1957.¹
     From 9 July 1912, her married name became Cuninghame.¹

     William Glencairn Cuninghame was born on 17 June 1913.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Francis George Glencairn Cuninghame and Violet Jessie Phipps Hornby.² He married Doris Bishop, daughter of John Bishop, in February 1935.¹ He died on 20 December 1959 at age 46.¹

     Anthony Glencairn Cuninghame was born on 3 September 1935.¹ He was the son of William Glencairn Cuninghame and Doris Bishop.² He married Pamela Horton, daughter of Robert Horton, on 21 September 1961.¹ He died in 1982.¹
