     John Dundas was born on 19 December 1803.¹ He was the son of James Dundas and Elizabeth Graham.² He married Jemima Christian Macdowall, daughter of Day Hort Macdowall and Wilhelmina Graham, in 1830.³ He died on 27 May 1873 at age 69.¹
     He lived at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)¹

     Day Hort Macdowall was born on 27 March 1753.² He was the son of William Macdowall, 18th of Garthland and 2nd of Castlesemple and Elizabeth 'Black Bess' Graham.^3,4 He married Wilhelmina Graham, daughter of William Graham, 2nd of Airth and Ann Stirling, on 7 November 1791.² He died on 16 June 1809 at age 56.²
     He was in the Bengal Civil Service.² He purchased Castlesemple.² He lived at Walkinshaw, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.²

     Jemima Christian Macdowall was born on 14 January 1806.² She was the daughter of Day Hort Macdowall and Wilhelmina Graham.^3,4 She married John Dundas, son of James Dundas and Elizabeth Graham, in 1830.² She died on 19 July 1863 at age 57.¹
     She was also known as Christian Jemima Macdowall.² From 1830, her married name became Dundas.

     James Ralph Dundas was born in 1836.¹ He was the son of John Dundas and Jemima Christian Macdowall.² He died in 1840.¹

     Ralph Dundas was born on 22 October 1843.¹ He was the son of John Dundas and Jemima Christian Macdowall.² He married Emily Bridget Robertson, daughter of Robert Robertson of Auchleeks and Emily Cay, on 30 March 1869.¹ He died on 8 October 1911 at age 67.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)¹ He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.¹

     Robert Robertson of Auchleeks was born on 27 December 1816.² He married Emily Cay, daughter of John Cay and Emily Bullock, on 4 October 1848 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He died on 6 October 1862 at age 45.²

     Emily Bridget Robertson was the daughter of Robert Robertson of Auchleeks and Emily Cay.^2,3 She married Ralph Dundas, son of John Dundas and Jemima Christian Macdowall, on 30 March 1869.¹ She died on 12 May 1934.¹
     From 30 March 1869, her married name became Dundas.

     Robert William Dundas is the son of Ralph Dundas and Emily Bridget Robertson.²

     Evelyn Emily Dundas was born on 29 January 1870.¹ She was the daughter of Ralph Dundas and Emily Bridget Robertson.² She died on 9 April 1938 at age 68, unmarried.¹

     Jemima Christian Dundas was born on 14 July 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Ralph Dundas and Emily Bridget Robertson.² She married Steuart Bayley Hog of Newliston, son of Thomas Alexander Hog of Newliston and Harriet Hare, on 14 July 1892.¹ She died on 6 December 1963 at age 92.¹
     From 14 July 1892, her married name became Hog.
