Robert Hare was born on 5 August 1808.1 He was the son of Colonel Richard Hare, Viscount Ennismore and Hon. Catherine Bridget Dillon.1 He married Louisa Augusta French, daughter of Thomas George French and Charlotte Granville Grenfell, on 9 January 1840.1 He died on 8 July 1865 at age 56.1
