Alexander Wallis Clark was born on 25 March 1857.2 He was the son of William Clark and Marianne Elizabeth Paul Newport.2,1 He married Frances Lucinda Caroline Carpendale, daughter of William Maxwell Carpendale and Catherine Ann Horner, on 6 September 1893.2 He died on 14 November 1937 at age 80.2
