     He lived at Mere Old Hall, Cheshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1966.1

     Major Eric William Langford Brooke was born in 1910 at Guisborough, Yorkshire, England.2 He was the son of William Prinsep Langford Brooke and Jessie Sill.3 He married Margaret Dempster, daughter of Charles Dempster and Kate Holt, on 2 October 1942 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.3,2 He died on 21 February 1961 at Denbighshire, Wales.2
     He lived at Cheshire, England.1 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Army Service Corps.2
