     Thomas Griffin was born circa 1496.1 He was the son of Nicholas Griffin.1 He married Jane Newton, daughter of Richard Newton.1 He died on 27 August 1566, without surviving male issue.1
     He was educated in 1509 at Lincoln's Inn, London, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 11th Lord Griffin, of Braybrook, Northamptonshire [E., 1299] on 15 May 1509, de jure.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northamptonshire between 1532 and 1544.1 He gained the rank of Knight before 1533.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1534.1

     Hon. William John French was born on 21 April 1854 at County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was the son of Charles French, 3rd Baron de Freyne of Coolavin and Catherine Maree.2 He married Mary Josephine Beirne on 10 July 1900.1 He died on 6 December 1928 at age 74 at Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.1,3
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Wexford Militia.1

Robert French was born on 22 October 1858.1 He was the son of Charles French, 3rd Baron de Freyne of Coolavin and Catherine Maree.2 He married Mary Cassandra Mair, daughter of Hugh Mair, on 29 July 1885.1 He and Mary Cassandra Mair were divorced in 1913.3 He died on 27 September 1920 at age 61.1
     He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the 2nd Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.1

Robert French, son of Charles French, 3rd Baron de Freyne of Coolavin and Catherine Maree, on 29 July 1885.1 She and Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert French were divorced in 1913.2 She married, secondly, Captain Cyril Richards, son of D. T. Richards, on 5 February 1921.3
     From 29 July 1885, her married name became French. From 5 February 1921, her married name became Richards.3
