Richard Bourke, 6th Earl of Clanricarde was the son of Sir William Bourke and Joan O'Shaughnessy.2 He married Lady Elizabeth Butler, daughter of Walter Butler, 11th Earl of Ormonde and Hon. Helen Butler.2 He died in August 1666, without male issue.2
He was also known as Richard de Burgh.3 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Bourke of Clanmories, co. Mayo [I., 1629] on 29 April 1658.2 He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Clanricarde [I., 1543] on 29 April 1658.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baron of Dunkellin [I., 1543] on 29 April 1658.2 His last will was dated 17 October 1664.2

Ulick Bourke, 3rd Earl of Clanricarde was the son of Richard Bourke, 2nd Earl of Clanricarde and Margaret O'Brien.1 He married Honora Burke, daughter of John 'Og' Burke, on 25 November 1564 at Anthenry, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He died on 20 May 1601.1
He was also known as Ulick de Burgh.1 In 1572 he was in rebellion, but sued for pardon in November.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Clanricarde [I., 1543] on 24 July 1582.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron of Dunkellin [I., 1543] on 24 July 1582.1 In May 1589 he fought with great gallantry against the rebel Irish.2 Between 1598 and 1601 he supported the English during Tyrone's rebellion.1 He was commander of the Forces in Connaught on 9 January 1599/0.1
