     Lt.-Col. Harry George Chester was born on 22 September 1811 at Alderney, Channel Islands.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Harry Chester and Harriet Fiennes Clinton.² He died on 20 September 1854 at age 42 at Alma, Russia, killed in action.¹
