     Elizabeth Coates was the daughter of Michael Coates.¹ She married Edward Pease, son of Joseph Pease and Ann Coldwell, on 2 October 1735.¹ She died on 22 February 1783.¹

     Joseph Pease was born on 25 March 1737.¹ He was the son of Edward Pease and Elizabeth Coates.² He married Mary Richardson, daughter of Richard Richardson, on 13 October 1763.¹ He died on 3 April 1808 at age 71.¹

     Mary Richardson was the daughter of Richard Richardson.² She married Joseph Pease, son of Edward Pease and Elizabeth Coates, on 13 October 1763.¹ She died on 17 July 1821.¹
     From 13 October 1763, her married name became Pease.

     Edward Pease was born on 31 May 1767.¹ He was the son of Joseph Pease and Mary Richardson.² He married Rachel Whitwell, daughter of John Whitwell, on 3 November 1796.¹ He died on 31 July 1858 at age 91.²
     He lived at Darlington, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Rachel Whitwell was the daughter of John Whitwell.² She married Edward Pease, son of Joseph Pease and Mary Richardson, on 3 November 1796.¹ She died on 18 October 1833.¹

     John Pease was born on 30 September 1797.¹ He was the son of Edward Pease and Rachel Whitwell.² He married Sophia Jowitt, daughter of Joseph Jowitt, on 26 November 1823.¹ He died on 29 July 1868 at age 70.¹
     He lived at Cleveland Lodge, Great Ayton, Yorkshire, England.³ He lived at East Mount, Darlington, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He had one other daughter.¹

     Sophia Jowitt was the daughter of Joseph Jowitt.² She married John Pease, son of Edward Pease and Rachel Whitwell, on 26 November 1823.¹ She died on 6 August 1870.¹
     From 26 November 1823, her married name became Pease.
