     Edward Strangways Neave was born on 11 November 1857.1 He was the son of Sheffield Neave and Mary Henrica Morier.2 He married Evelyn Jane Vansittart, daughter of Colonel Robert Vansittart and Elizabeth Harriet Fleming, on 4 November 1882.1 He died on 25 January 1935 at age 77.1

     He was with the Natal Police and South African Mounted Riflemen.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.1 He fought in the Native Rebellion in 1906.1 He fought in the First World War, in South-West Africa.1 He was awarded the 1914 Star.1

     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery.1 He was a senior partner of Neave, Tinworth & Nuan, chartered quantity surveyors.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (F.R.I.C.S.)1

     Gerald Vansittart Neave was born on 2 October 1884.1 He was the son of Edward Strangways Neave and Evelyn Jane Vansittart.2 He died on 16 August 1917 at age 32, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in 1914 in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.1
