     Major Julius Arthur Sheffield Neave was born on 17 July 1919.¹ He was the son of Colonel Richard Neave and Helen Elizabeth Mary Miller.² He married Helen Margery Acton-Adams, daughter of Colonel Percy Morland Acton-Adams, on 25 April 1951.¹ He died on 30 October 2008 at age 89.³

     Colonel Percy Morland Acton-Adams was the son of William Acton-Adams.² He married Alice Mary Neave, daughter of Francis Digby Spencer Neave and Eliza Marianne Cormack, on 6 April 1904.³ He died on 23 November 1927.³
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the New Zealand Mounted Rifles.⁴ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) [New Zealand]⁴ He lived at Clarence Reserve, Kaikoura, New Zealand^G.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹
