     Lt.-Col. Charles Frederick Hulse was born on 30 April 1843.¹ He was the son of Charles Hulse and Georgina Amelia Buller.² He married Jessie Marian Thackwell, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Joseph Edwin Thackwell and Eliza Maria Burnside, on 11 November 1875.¹ He died on 7 February 1902 at age 58, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Joseph Edwin Thackwell was born on 7 September 1813.² He was the son of John Thackwell.² He was baptised on 3 November 1813 at Dymock, Gloucestershire, England.² He married, firstly, Eliza Maria Burnside, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Burnside.² He married, secondly, Lucy Helen Highton in 1878 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.² He died on 14 January 1900 at age 86 at 23 Lansdowne Place, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.²
     He was Aide-de-Camp to General Sir Joseph Thackwell between 1852 and 1853.² He fought in the Crimean War between 1854 and 1856.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Jessie Marian Thackwell was born in 1850 at Lyme Regis, Dorset, England.² She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Joseph Edwin Thackwell and Eliza Maria Burnside.^3,2 She married Lt.-Col. Charles Frederick Hulse, son of Charles Hulse and Georgina Amelia Buller, on 11 November 1875.¹ She died on 23 November 1934.¹
     From 11 November 1875, her married name became Hulse.

     Samuel George Hulse was born on 4 January 1845.¹ He was the son of Charles Hulse and Georgina Amelia Buller.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the 42nd Foot.¹

     Agnes Charlotte Letitia Hulse was the daughter of Charles Hulse and Georgina Amelia Buller.² She married Gilbert John Smallpiece on 21 May 1873.¹ She died in 1882.¹
     From 21 May 1873, her married name became Smallpiece.

     Augusta Julia Hulse was born on 8 June 1850.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Hulse and Georgina Amelia Buller.² She died on 12 May 1941 at age 90, unmarried.¹

     Henrietta Eleanor Hulse was the daughter of Charles Hulse and Georgina Amelia Buller.² She died on 10 May 1915, unmarried.¹

     Richard Samuel Hulse was the son of Sir Charles Hulse, 4th Bt. and Maria Buller.² He died on 27 September 1866.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.¹
