     Admiral Sir Augustus Phillimore was born on 24 May 1822.² He is the son of Dr. Joseph Phillimore and Elizabeth Bagot.² He married Harriet Eleanor Fortescue, daughter of Hon. George Matthew Fortescue and Lady Louisa Elizabeth Ryder, on 29 March 1864.¹ He died on 25 November 1897 at age 75.²
