     Jane Selina Capell was born on 28 October 1805 at Watford, Hertfordshire, England.² She was the daughter of Rev. Hon. William Robert Capell and Sarah Salter.¹ She married Thomas Truesdale Clarke, son of Thomas Truesdale Clarke and Louisa Hawkins, on 9 May 1826 at Watford Church, Watford, Hertfordshire, England.² She died in 1892 at London, England.²
     From 9 May 1826, her married name became Clarke.³
