     George Amias Fitzwarrine Poulett, 8th Earl Poulett was born on 23 June 1909.¹ He was the son of William John Lydston Poulett, 7th Earl Poulett and Sylvia Lilian Storey.^1,3 He married, firstly, Oriel Ross Swinstead, daughter of Reverend John Howard Swinstead and Hannah Sclater Humphrey, on 21 June 1935.¹ He and Oriel Ross Swinstead were divorced. He married, secondly, Lorraine Lawrence, daughter of Waklin Lawrence, on 17 December 1941.^4,3 He married, thirdly, Margaret Christine Ball, daughter of Wilfred John Peter Ball, on 12 September 1968.⁵ He died on 1 March 1973 at age 63.⁵
     He succeeded as the 8th Earl Poulett [G.B., 1706] on 11 July 1918.³ He succeeded as the 8th Viscount Hinton, of Hinton St. George, Somerset [G.B., 1706] on 11 July 1918.³ He succeeded as the 11th Baron Poulett, of Hinton St. George, Somerset [E., 1627] on 11 July 1918.³
