     Lt.-Col. Harold Fife Whinney was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.¹

     Captain Reginald Fife Whinney was the son of Lt.-Col. Harold Fife Whinney.² He married Bridget Coote, daughter of Arthur Philip Coote and Margaretta Wright, on 30 July 1959.¹ He died in 1992.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) and bar.¹

     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Field Artillery.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Flying Corps.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1918 in the Royal Air Force.¹ He retired from the military in 1929, with the rank of Wing Commander, late of the Royal Air Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with the Royal Air Force, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹

     Evelyn Arthur Rich was born on 3 October 1855.² He was the son of General Arthur Newbolt Rich and Jane Albertina Frederica Hill.² He married Mary Gray, daughter of W. H. Gray, on 11 October 1882.² He died on 29 October 1942 at age 87.²

     Muriel Evelyn Rich was the daughter of Evelyn Arthur Rich and Mary Gray.^2,3 She married, firstly, Walter Jagger on 15 July 1913.¹ She married, secondly, W/Cdr. Maxwell Henry Coote, son of Sir Algernon Charles Plumptre Coote, 12th Bt. and Ellen Melesina Chenevix Trench, on 22 January 1935.¹ She died on 15 March 1970.¹
     From 15 July 1913, her married name became Jagger.¹ From 22 January 1935, her married name became Coote.¹
