     Jane Elizabeth Atkinson was the daughter of Joseph Atkinson.2 She married Sir Halley Stewart, son of Reverend Alexander Stewart, on 20 June 1865.1 She died in December 1924.1

     Sir Percy Malcolm Stewart, 1st Bt. was born on 9 May 1872.1 He was the son of Sir Halley Stewart and Jane Elizabeth Atkinson.2 He married, firstly, Cordelia Rickett, daughter of Sir Joseph Compton Rickett, in 1896.1 He married, secondly, Beatrice Maud Pratt, daughter of Joseph Bishop Pratt, on 25 April 1907.1 He died on 27 February 1951 at age 78.1
     He was educated at Royal High School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was educated at University School, Hastings, Kent, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Bedfordshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Bedfordshire.1 He was Director for the Ministry of Munitions between 1917 and 1919 at Government Rolling Mills, Southampton, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1 He was Commissioner of Special Areas (England and Wales) between 1934 and 1936.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Manchester University, Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG, in 1937.1 He was created 1st Baronet Stewart, of Stewartby, co. Bedford [U.K.] on 4 March 1937.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Bedfordshire in 1941.1

     Bernard Halley Stewart was born on 6 May 1874.1 He was the son of Sir Halley Stewart and Jane Elizabeth Atkinson.2 He married Mabel Florence Wyatt on 11 April 1905.1 He died on 30 July 1958 at age 84.1
     Bernard Halley Stewart usually went by his middle name of Halley.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Edinburgh (F.R.S.E.)1 He graduated in 1904 with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.Ch.)1 He graduated in 1907 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)3 He graduated in 1911 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He was president of the Sir Halley Stewart Trust.1

Patricia Irene Wilmot Tufton, daughter of John Sackville Richard Tufton, 2nd Baron Hothfield of Hothfield and Lady Ierne Louisa Arundel Hastings, on 14 December 1921.1 He died on 12 October 1963 at age 76.1
