     Kate McCorquodale was the daughter of George McCorquodale and Louisa Kate Honan.1 She married General Henry Sinclair Horne, 1st and last Baron Horne, son of James Horne and Constance Mary Shewell, on 1 July 1897.1
     From 1 July 1897, her married name became Horne.1 After her marriage, Kate McCorquodale was styled as Baroness Horne on 8 October 1919.

     George McCorquodale was born on 10 May 1817.2 He was the son of Hugh McCorquodale and Lucia Hall.2 He married, firstly, Louisa Kate Honan, daughter of Frederick Honan, on 24 December 1844.2 He married, secondly, Emily Sanderson, daughter of Reverend Thomas Sanderson and Eliza Baddeley, on 1 January 1872 at Southover Church, Lewes, Sussex, EnglandG.3,4 He died in 1895.2
     In 1846 at Newton-le-Willows, Lancashire, EnglandG, he founded the firm of McCorquodale printers, to do railway printing.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1882.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Anglesey in 1889.2 He lived at Newton-le-Willows, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Gadlys, Anglesey, WalesG.2 He had four other daughters.2

Kate Horne was born on 24 February 1899.2 She is the daughter of General Henry Sinclair Horne, 1st and last Baron Horne and Kate McCorquodale.1 She married, firstly, Brigadier Arthur George Hewson, son of George Rawdon Maurice Hewson and Jessie Mansfield, on 1 February 1923.1 She and Brigadier Arthur George Hewson were divorced in 1940.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Henry Richard Hildreth, son of Lt.-Col. Harold Crossley Hildreth, on 15 May 1940.1
     From 1 February 1923, her married name became Hewson.1 From 15 May 1940, her married name became Hildreth.1

     Brigadier Arthur George Hewson was born on 24 February 1891.2 He was the son of George Rawdon Maurice Hewson and Jessie Mansfield.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Kate Horne, daughter of General Henry Sinclair Horne, 1st and last Baron Horne and Kate McCorquodale, on 1 February 1923.3 He and Hon. Kate Horne were divorced in 1940.3 He married, secondly, Hon. Anne Elizabeth Mary Llewelyn Lewis, daughter of Herbert Clark Lewis, 2nd Baron Merthyr and Elizabeth Anna Couchman, on 30 March 1941.4 He died on 18 April 1975 at age 84.2
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)3 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Horse Artillery.4 He lived at Attyflin, Patrickswell, County Limerick, IrelandG.1
