     Maj.-Gen. George Colville Borthwick was born on 15 June 1839.1 He was the son of Peter Borthwick and Margaret Colville.1 He married Sophie Schylowskála, daughter of Captain unknown Schylowskála, on 4 May 1884.1 He died in January 1896 at age 56.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Imperial Ottoman Army.1
