Robert Bannatyne Finlay, 1st Viscount Finlay was born on 11 July 1842.1 He was the son of William Finlay and Ann Bannatyne.1 He married Mary Innes, daughter of Cosmo Innes, on 26 August 1874.1 He died on 9 March 1929 at age 86.1
