Geoffrey Browne was the son of Sir Dominick Browne and Anastacia Darcy.2,3 He married Mary Lynch, daughter of Sir Henry Lynch, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Martin.1 He died on 14 January 1668.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)4 He was also known as Geffrey Browne.2 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1627 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Athenry [Ireland] in 1639.1 In 1660 he was declared rightful owner of 2,000 acres of his father's confiscated estates, including Carrabrowne.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tuam [Ireland] in 1661.1 He lived at Carrabrowne, Oranmore, County Galway, IrelandG.4
