     Sir Hugh Cholmley, 4th Bt. was born on 21 July 1632 at Fyling Hall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh Cholmley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Twysden.¹ He married Lady Anne Compton, daughter of Spencer Compton, 2nd Earl of Northampton and Mary Beaumont, on 19 February 1665/66 at Hamerton, Huntingdonshire, England^G.¹ He died on 9 January 1688/89 at age 56 at Whitby, Yorkshire, England^G, without male issue.¹
     He held the office of Governor of Tangiers, Morocco in 1665.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Cholmley, of Whitby, co. York [E., 1641] on 2 July 1665.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northampton in 1679.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk between 1685 and 1687.¹
     In 1690 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Lady Anne Compton was born circa 1637.¹ She was the daughter of Spencer Compton, 2nd Earl of Northampton and Mary Beaumont.¹ She married Sir Hugh Cholmley, 4th Bt., son of Sir Hugh Cholmley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Twysden, on 19 February 1665/66 at Hamerton, Huntingdonshire, England^G.¹ She died on 26 May 1705 at Whitby, Yorkshire, England^G.¹
     From 19 February 1665/66, her married name became Cholmley.¹

     Mary Cholmley was born on 21 September 1667.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Hugh Cholmley, 4th Bt. and Lady Anne Compton.¹ She married, secondly, Nathaniel Stephens.² She married, firstly, Nathaniel Cholmley on 16 October 1683 at Whitby, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ She died on 20 April 1687 at age 19.¹
     Her married name became Stephens.²
     She was ancesteor of the Cholmleys of Whitby and Howsham, Yorkshire.¹

     Nathaniel Cholmley married Mary Cholmley, daughter of Sir Hugh Cholmley, 4th Bt. and Lady Anne Compton, on 16 October 1683 at Whitby, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Sir George Chudleigh, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir George Chudleigh, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Fortescue.¹ He married Mary Lee, daughter of Richard Lee, circa 21 February 1673/74.¹ He died in 1718.¹ His will (dated 13 August 1715) was proven (by probate) on 9 February 1718/19.¹
     He matriculated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 17 March 1653/54.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1656.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Chudleigh, of Ashton, co. Devon [E., 1622] in 1691.¹

     Sir George Chudleigh, 2nd Bt. was born in 1612.¹ He was the son of Sir George Chudleigh, 1st Bt. and Mary Strode.¹ He married Elizabeth Fortescue, daughter of Hugh Fortescue and Mary Rolle, on 16 August 1637 at Wear Gifford, Devon, England^G.¹ He died in 1691.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Chudleigh, of Ashton, co. Devon [E., 1622] circa 1657.¹
