     Colonel Aylmer Spicer Cameron, V.C. was born on 12 August 1833 at Christchurch, Hampshire, England.³ He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Gordon Cameron and Caroline Edwards.⁴ He married Arabella Piercy Henderson, daughter of John Piercy Henderson and Eliza Anne Lockhart, on 30 September 1865.³ He died on 10 June 1909 at age 75 at Alverstoke, Hampshire, England.³
