     Beatrix Carmichael is the daughter of John Carmichael, 1st Earl of Hyndford and Beatrix Drummond.1 She married John Cockburn of Ormiston, son of Adam Cockburn, Lord Ormiston and Lady Susanna Hamilton, in 1700.1
     From 1700, her married name became Cockburn.1

     John Cockburn of Ormiston was the son of Adam Cockburn, Lord Ormiston and Lady Susanna Hamilton.2 He married Beatrix Carmichael, daughter of John Carmichael, 1st Earl of Hyndford and Beatrix Drummond, in 1700.1 He died on 12 November 1758 at Navy House, London, England, without issue.2
     He held the office of Lord of the Admiralty.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1

     Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 2nd Bt. was born in 1686.2 He is the son of Zacharias Maxwell of Blawerthill and Jean Maxwell.3 He married, thirdly, Margaret Caldwell, daughter of John Caldwell of Caldwell.1 A contract for the marriage of Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 2nd Bt. and Lady Anne Carmichael was signed on 8 April 1709.3 He married, secondly, Barbara Steuart, daughter of Walter Steuart of Steuart Hall and Barbara Kay, in August 1727.3 He died on 24 December 1752.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Maxwell, of Pollok, co. Renfrew [N.S., 1682] on 4 July 1732.3

     From 2 September 1665, her married name became Stewart.2

     Margaret Press was born on 18 December 1873 at Clifton, Bristol, England.2 She was the daughter of John Latham Press.1 She married Charles Leigh Clay, son of Henry Clay and Mary Louisa Boden, on 17 February 1897 at Emmanuel Church, Clifton, Bristol, England.1 She died on 31 July 1952 at age 78 at Wyndcliffe Court, Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Wales.2
     From 17 February 1897, her married name became Clay.1
