     Charles Henry Gore was born on 28 November 1881.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Charles Gore and Constance Mary Bruce.1 He married, firstly, Marguerite Langley, daughter of Walter Langley, on 18 January 1911.1 He married Hon. Violet Katherine Annesley, daughter of Arthur Annesley, 11th Viscount of Valentia and Laura Sarah Webb, on 15 April 1920.2 He died on 20 June 1941 at age 59.1
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was a Fellow and Bursar of Queen's College, Oxford University.1 He was Governor at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, EnglandG. He was Governor at Giggleswick SchoolG.1 He was director of Supplies and Transport of the Egyptian Army.      William Henry Smith, 3rd Viscount Hambleden was born on 25 July 1903.1 He was the son of William Frederick Danvers Smith, 2nd Viscount Hambleden and Lady Esther Georgiana Caroline Gore.2 He married Lady Patricia Herbert, daughter of Reginald Herbert, 15th Earl of Pembroke and Lady Beatrice Eleanor Paget, on 26 September 1928.1 He died on 31 March 1948 at age 44.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Hambleden, of Hambleden, co. Buckingham [U.K., 1891] on 16 June 1928.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1939 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was chairman of W. H. Smith & Son.1

     Lady Patricia Herbert was born on 12 November 1904.1 She was the daughter of Reginald Herbert, 15th Earl of Pembroke and Lady Beatrice Eleanor Paget.1,2 She married William Henry Smith, 3rd Viscount Hambleden, son of William Frederick Danvers Smith, 2nd Viscount Hambleden and Lady Esther Georgiana Caroline Gore, on 26 September 1928.2 She died on 19 March 1994 at age 89.2
     From 26 September 1928, her married name became Smith. After her marriage, Lady Patricia Herbert was styled as Viscountess Hambleden on 26 September 1928. She held the office of Lady of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Elizabeth between 1937 and 1994.1 She was appointed Dame Commander, Royal Victorian Order (D.C.V.O.) in 1953.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1961.1

     Reginald Herbert, 15th Earl of Pembroke was born on 8 September 1880.1 He was the son of Sidney Herbert, 14th Earl of Pembroke and Lady Beatrix Louisa Lambton.2 He married Lady Beatrice Eleanor Paget, daughter of Lord Alexander Victor Paget and Hon. Hester Alice Stapleton-Cotton, on 21 January 1904.3 He died on 13 January 1960 at age 79.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He was Aide-de-CAmp to the Commander-in-Chief Ireland between 1912 and 1913.2 He succeeded as the 15th Baron Herbert, of Cardiff, co.
