Thomas l'Arcedekne, 1st Lord Arcedekne1

     Thomas l'Arcedekne, 1st Lord Arcedekne was born before 1290.1 He was the son of Otes l'Arcedekne and Amis (?)1 He married, firstly, Alice de la Roche, daughter of Thomas de la Roche.1 He married, secondly, Maud (?)1 He died after 21 August 1331.1
     He held the office of Governor of Tintagel Castle in 1312.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Cornwall from 1313 to 1314.1 He was created 1st Lord Arcedekne [England by writ] on 15 May 1321.1
     According to Cokayne, none of his descendants were ever summoned to Parliament in respect of his title, and it is held to have fallen into abeyance. However Burkes Extinct Peerage has the title being used by his son and grandson.1,2
