Sir George Duff-Sutherland Dunbar of Hempriggs, 6th Bt. was born on 29 May 1878.1 He was the son of Garden Duff-Dunbar of Hempriggs and Ackergill and Jane Louisa Duff.1 He married, firstly, Sybil Hawtrey Tate, daughter of Colonel Charles W. H. Tate, on 8 July 1903.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Hewlett, daughter of Colonel G. G. Hewlett, on 3 May 1921.1 He married, thirdly, Dulcie Edith Joyce, daughter of S. Wescombe Joyce, on 2 November 1956.1 He died on 8 April 1962 at age 83.1
He was given the name of George Duff-Dunbar at birth.2 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Dunbar, of Hempriggs, co. Caithness [N.S., 1706] on 7 December 1897.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Officer in 1898 in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders.2 He gained the rank of officer in 1902 in the Indian Army.2 He was commander of the Military Police, Assam.2 He fought in the Arbor Expedition, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was awarded the King's Police Medal (K.P.M.)2 He fought in the First World War, with the War Office, in France and the Indian Frontier.2 He fought in the Second World War.2

Sybil Hawtrey Tate was the daughter of Colonel Charles W. H. Tate.1 She married Sir George Duff-Sutherland Dunbar of Hempriggs, 6th Bt., son of Garden Duff-Dunbar of Hempriggs and Ackergill and Jane Louisa Duff, on 8 July 1903.1 She died on 28 June 1911.1

Sir George Cospatrick Duff-Sutherland Dunbar of Hempriggs, 7th Bt. was born on 3 August 1906.1 He was the son of Sir George Duff-Sutherland Dunbar of Hempriggs, 6th Bt. and Sybil Hawtrey Tate.1 He died on 4 February 1963 at age 56, unmarried.2
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.2 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1931 entitled to practise as a barrister.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the during the Second World War.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Caithness in 1955.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Dunbar, of Hempriggs, co. Caithness [N.S., 1706] on 8 April 1962.2

Lt.-Cdr. Kenneth James Duff-Dunbar was born on 16 October 1886.1 He was the son of Garden Duff-Dunbar of Hempriggs and Ackergill and Jane Louisa Duff.1 He married Katharine Isabel Bennett Daw, daughter of William Adams Daw, on 10 February 1915.1 He died on 19 August 1916 at age 29, killed in action, while in command of HM Submarine E16, Harwich Patrol Flotilla.2
