Maria Eliza Brodie was the daughter of Sir Benjamin Collins Brodie, 1st Bt. and Anne Sellon.1 She married Reverend Edward Hoare, son of Samuel Hoare and Louisa Gurney, on 20 July 1839.1 She was also reported to have been married on 10 July 1839.2 She died on 27 July 1863, leaving issue.1

Reverend Edward Hoare was born on 5 June 1812.2 He was the son of Samuel Hoare and Louisa Gurney.2 He married Maria Eliza Brodie, daughter of Sir Benjamin Collins Brodie, 1st Bt. and Anne Sellon, on 20 July 1839.1 He was also reported to have been married on 10 July 1839.2 He died on 7 July 1894 at age 82, leaving issue.1
