     Martin Hugh Broadbridge, 4th Baron Broadbridge was born on 29 November 1929.¹ He was the son of Hon. Hugh Trevor Broadbridge and Anne Marjorie Elfick.² He married, firstly, Norma Sheffield, daughter of Major Herbert Sheffield, on 31 July 1954.¹ He and Norma Sheffield were divorced in 1967.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Elizabeth Trotman, daughter of Joseph Emlyn Trotman, in 1968.¹ He died on 19 April 2020 at age 90 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.³
     He was educated at St. George's College, Weybridge, Surrey, England^G.¹ He graduated from Birmingham University, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England^G, in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Broadbridge, of Brighton, co. Sussex [U.K., 1945] on 6 February 2000.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Broadbridge, of Brighton, co. Sussex [U.K., 1937] on 6 February 2000.¹ He lived in 2003 at 23A Westfield Road, Barton-on-Humber, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Hugh Trevor Broadbridge was born on 22 July 1903.¹ He was the son of George Thomas Broadbridge, 1st Baron Broadbridge and Fanny Kathleen Brigden.¹ He married Anne Marjorie Elfick, daughter of J. Locke Elfick, on 18 June 1927. He died in 1979.¹
     He was educated at Shoreham Grammar School, Shoreham, Kent, England^G.¹

     Norma Sheffield is the daughter of Major Herbert Sheffield.¹ She married Martin Hugh Broadbridge, 4th Baron Broadbridge, son of Hon. Hugh Trevor Broadbridge and Anne Marjorie Elfick, on 31 July 1954.¹ She and Martin Hugh Broadbridge, 4th Baron Broadbridge were divorced in 1967.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Trotman was born circa 1924.² She was the daughter of Joseph Emlyn Trotman.¹ She married Martin Hugh Broadbridge, 4th Baron Broadbridge, son of Hon. Hugh Trevor Broadbridge and Anne Marjorie Elfick, in 1968.¹ She died on 6 January 2007.²
     From 1968, her married name became Broadbridge.¹ After her marriage, Mary Elizabeth Trotman was styled as Baroness Broadbridge on 6 February 2000.

     Joseph Emlyn Trotman was born in 1893.² He died in 1966.²
