Sir Richard Grosvenor, 1st Bt. was born on 9 January 1584/85.1 He was the son of Richard Grosvenor and Christiana Brooke.1 He married, firstly, Lettice Cholmondeley, daughter of Sir Hugh Cholmondeley and Mary Holford.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Wilbraham, daughter of Sir Thomas Wilbraham, in 1614.3 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Warburton, daughter of Sir Peter Warburton, after 1621.3 He died on 14 September 1645 at age 60.1
He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)3 He was appointed Knight.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cheshire between 1621 and 1629.3 He was created 1st Baronet Grosvenor, of Eaton, co. Chester [England] on 23 February 1621/22.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1623.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of Denbighshire in 1624.3
