     Margaret Lindsay was the daughter of Patrick Lindsay, 6th Lord Lindsay of the Byres and Euphemia Douglas.¹ She married James Leslie, Master of Rothes, son of Andrew Leslie, 5th Earl of Rothes and Grizel Hamilton, circa 11 January 1574/75.¹
     From circa 11 January 1574/75, her married name became Leslie.

     Lady Anne Erskine was the daughter of John Erskine, 19th/2nd Earl of Mar and Lady Mary Stuart.¹ A contract for the marriage of Lady Anne Erskine and John Leslie, 6th Earl of Rothes was signed on 28 December 1614.¹ She died in 1640.
     After her marriage, Lady Anne Erskine was styled as Countess of Rothes on 28 December 1614. Her married name became Leslie.

     John Leslie, 1st Duke of Rothes was born circa 1630.¹ He was the son of John Leslie, 6th Earl of Rothes and Lady Anne Erskine.¹ He married Lady Anne Lindsay, daughter of John Lindsay, 17th Earl of Crawford and Lady Margaret Hamilton, on 2 February 1647/48.³ He died on 26 July 1681.³
     He succeeded as the 7th Lord Leslie [S., 1445] in August 1641.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Rothes [S., 1458] in August 1641.¹ He fought in the Battle of Worcester on 3 September 1651, where he was captured by the English.³ He held the office of President of the Councl [Scotland] in 1660.³ He held the office of Extraordinary Lord of Session in February 1660/61.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1663.³ He held the office of Lord High Commissioner [Scotland] in 1663.³ He held the office of Lord High Treasurer [Scotland] in 1663.³ On 4 July 1663 he obtained a new charter of his ancestral titles, with special remainder to the heirs male of his body, and failing to the heirs female of his body, or the body of his heirs male.³ He held the office of Keeper of the Privy Seal [Scotland] in 1664.³ He held the office of Lord High Commissioner [Scotland] from 1665 to 1666.³ He held the office of Lord Chancellor [Scotland] in 1667.³ He was created 1st Duke of Rothes [Scotland] on 29 May 1680.³ He was created 1st Marquess of Brambreich [Scotland] on 29 May 1680.³ He was created 1st Viscount of Lugtoun [Scotland] on 29 May 1680.³ He was created 1st Lord Auchmutye and Caskieberrie [Scotland] on 29 May 1680.³ He was created 1st Earl of Leslie [Scotland] on 29 May 1680.³ On his death his 1681 titles became extinct.³

     Ivor Churchill Guest, 1st Viscount Wimborne was born on 16 January 1873.¹ He was the son of Ivor Bertie Guest, 1st Baron Wimborne and Lady Cornelia Henrietta Maria Spencer-Churchill.¹ He married Hon. Alice Katherine Sibell Grosvenor, daughter of Robert Wellesley Grosvenor, 2nd Baron Ebury of Ebury Manor and Hon. Emilie Beaujolais White, on 10 February 1902.² He died on 14 June 1939 at age 66.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ In 1898 he unsuccessfully contested the seat of Plymouth.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Glamorgan in 1900.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 7th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry.² He fought in the Boer War in 1900.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Dorset Imperial Yeomany.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Plymouth between 1900 and 1906.¹ He gained the rank of honorary Major in the Dorset Imperial Yeomanry.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the Cardiff District between 1906 and 1910.¹ He held the office of Paymaster-General between 1910 and 1912.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 5 March 1910.¹ He was created 1st Baron Ashby St. Ledgers, of Ashby St. Ledgers, co. Northampton [U.K.] on 15 March 1910.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glamorgan.² He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting to HM King George V between 1913 and 1915.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Wimborne, of Canford Magna, co. Dorset [U.K., 1880] on 22 February 1914.³ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Guest, of Dowlais, Glamorgan [U.K., 1838] on 22 February 1914.³ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland between 1915 and 1918.¹ He was created 1st Viscount Wimborne, of Canford Magna, co. Dorset [U.K.] on 15 June 1918.¹ He was Chairman of the Royal Commission on Coast Erosion and Afforestation.¹ He was a director of Barclays Bank.¹

     Helen Clephane was the daughter of George Clephane of Carslogie and Christian Learmonth.^1,2 She married Robert Arbuthnott of that Ilk, son of James Arbuthnott of that Ilk and Lady Janet Stewart, in September 1553.² She married Reverend Alexander Campbell, son of Dougal Campbell of Ardaillour and Janet Graham, after 1579.² She died in February 1608.²
     From September 1553, her married name became Arbuthnott.¹ From after 1579, her married name became Campbell.²

     George Clephane of Carslogie was the son of John Clephane of Carslogie and Elizabeth Wemyss.² He married Christian Learmonth, daughter of Thomas Learmonth of Dairsie.² He died in 1557.²
     He lived at Carslogie^G.³

     James Arbuthnott of that Ilk was the son of Robert Arbuthnott of that Ilk and Mariot Scrymgeour.¹ A contract for the marriage of James Arbuthnott of that Ilk and Lady Janet Stewart was signed on 31 August 1507. He died after 7 March 1521.¹

     Lady Janet Stewart was the daughter of John Stewart, 1st Earl of Atholl and Lady Eleanor Sinclair.^1,2 A contract for the marriage of Lady Janet Stewart and James Arbuthnott of that Ilk was signed on 31 August 1507.
     From 31 August 1507, her married name became Arbuthnott.¹

     Lady Isabel de Mowbray was born after 1400.² She was the daughter of Thomas de Mowbray, 1st Duke of Norfolk and Lady Elizabeth Fitzalan.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Henry Ferrers, son of William Ferrers, 5th Baron Ferrers (of Groby) and Philippe de Clifford, before 13 July 1416.³ She married, secondly, James de Berkeley, 1st Lord Berkeley, son of Sir James de Berkeley and Elizabeth Bluet, in 1423/24.⁴ She died on 27 September 1452 at Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England^G.⁴ She was also reported to have died on 23 September 1452 at Gloucester Castle, Gloucestershire, England^G.³ She was buried at Greyfriars, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England^G.⁴
     From before 13 July 1416, her married name became Ferrers.³ She was arrested by order of Margaret, Countess of Shrewsbury, and imprisoned at Gloucester.⁴

     Elizabeth Craven was baptised on 7 January 1599/0. She was the daughter of Sir William Craven and Elizabeth Whitmore.¹ She married Percy Herbert, 2nd Baron Powis, son of William Herbert, 1st Baron Powis and Lady Eleanor Percy, on 19 November 1622.¹ She died on 8 October 1662 at age 62.³
     Her married name became Herbert.
