     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a practising solicitor in 1965.¹

     Ruth Leslie Waters was born on 6 July 1948 at Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹ She is the daughter of James Waters and Nola Rae Dignan.¹ She married Graeme Harry Bonniface on 25 October 1972 at Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹
     From 25 October 1972, her married name became Bonniface.¹
