     Fortescue Moresby Buffett was born on 12 November 1853 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He was the son of David Buffett and Martha Young.¹ He married Emma Quintal Buffett, daughter of Thomas Buffett and Louisa Quintal, on 15 August 1875 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He died on 30 October 1927 at age 73 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     Martha Louisa Buffett was born on 1 March 1876 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Fortescue Moresby Buffett and Emma Quintal Buffett.¹ She died before 1944.¹
