     Major Hugh Henry Christian was born on 2 July 1831 at Bilton Hall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Hugh George Christian and Anne Fisher.¹ He married, firstly, Annie Newton, daughter of Dr. Isaac Newton, in 1855.² He married, secondly, Janet Elizabeth Peebles, daughter of Charles Peebles, in March 1866.² He died on 2 August 1914 at age 83 at Bilton Lodge, Portobello, Northumberland, England^G.¹ He was buried on 6 August 1914 at Knaresborough, Yorkshire, England^G.¹
     He was commissioned in 1849, in the service of the Honourable East India Military Service.² He gained the rank of officer in the 68th Bengal Native Infantry.² He fought in the Burma War between 1852 and 1854.² He fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857.² He was 2nd in Command of the Punjab Regiment.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He gained the rank of Adjutant in the 1st Lanarkshire Volunteer Rifles.²

     Annie Newton was born before 1840 at Knaresborough, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Dr. Isaac Newton.¹ She married Major Hugh Henry Christian, son of Hugh George Christian and Anne Fisher, in 1855.² She died on 6 August 1864.¹
     From 1855, her married name became Christian.²

     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)²

     Hotham George Christian was born on 2 February 1856 at Bareilly, India^G.¹ He is the son of Major Hugh Henry Christian and Annie Newton.¹

     Edward Hompesch Christian was born on 2 April 1859 at Jullunder, India^G.¹ He was the son of Major Hugh Henry Christian and Annie Newton.¹ He married Susan Olive Duffield, daughter of Commander unknown Duffield, in 1897.² He died on 28 August 1951 at age 92 at Twickenham, London, England^G.¹
     He was a stockbroker.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)²

     Susan Olive Duffield was the daughter of Commander unknown Duffield.² She married Edward Hompesch Christian, son of Major Hugh Henry Christian and Annie Newton, in 1897.² She died on 28 January 1943.¹
     From 1897, her married name became Christian.²

     Commander unknown Duffield gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Mary Willetts was the daughter of Reverend William Willetts and Catherine Wedgwood.¹ She married Peter Holland, son of Dr. Samuel Holland and Anne Swinton.² She died on 3 October 1803 at Knutsford, Cheshire, England^G.²
     Her married name became Holland.² She was also known as Polly Willett.²

     Anna Willetts is the daughter of Reverend William Willetts and Catherine Wedgwood. She married Swinton Colthurst Holland, son of Dr. Samuel Holland and Anne Swinton.¹

     Robert FitzMaurice is the son of Thomas FitzMaurice, 7th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Anore Geraldine.¹
     He was ancestor of the FitzMaurices of Ardglas and Tubrid.¹
