     Richard Quentin Borthwick was born on 10 May 1911.¹ He is the son of Arthur Sandilands Borthwick and Vera Janet Hervey.¹ He married Vivien de Kantzow, daughter of Commander Arthur Henry de Kantzow, on 21 March 1942.¹
     He was educated at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹

     Vivien de Kantzow was the daughter of Commander Arthur Henry de Kantzow.¹ She married, firstly, Richard Quentin Borthwick, son of Arthur Sandilands Borthwick and Vera Janet Hervey, on 21 March 1942.¹ She married, secondly, Alan Robertson Campbell, Baron Campbell of Alloway, son of John Kenneth Campbell, in 1957.² She died on 27 December 2010.³
     From 21 March 1942, her married name became Borthwick.¹ From 1957, her married name became Campbell. After her marriage, Vivien de Kantzow was styled as Baroness Campbell of Alloway on 2 June 1981.

     Commander Arthur Henry de Kantzow was born in 1878.² He died in 1928.²
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.³ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)³

     Geoffrey Darnley Borthwick was born on 9 May 1881.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Alexander Borthwick and Katherine Thistlethwayte.¹ He died on 20 October 1884 at age 3.¹

     Evelyn Grace Stanhope Borthwick was born on 27 October 1878.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Alexander Borthwick and Katherine Thistlethwayte.¹ She married Charles Morden Collett, son of Charles Collett, on 21 October 1922.¹ She died on 15 April 1959 at age 80.¹
     From 21 October 1922, her married name became Collett.¹

     Charles Morden Collett was the son of Charles Collett.¹ He married Evelyn Grace Stanhope Borthwick, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alexander Borthwick and Katherine Thistlethwayte, on 21 October 1922.¹ He died on 31 January 1946.¹
     He was in the Indian Civil Service.¹

     Charles Collett was in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     Francis Borthwick was born on 10 February 1840.¹ He was the son of John Borthwick, 13th of Crookston and Elizabeth Sutherland Dallas.¹ He married Alice Ord Mackenzie, daughter of John Ord Mackenzie and Margaret Hope Kirkpatrick, on 15 September 1864.¹ He died in 1934.¹

     Alice Ord Mackenzie was the daughter of John Ord Mackenzie and Margaret Hope Kirkpatrick.^1,2 She married Francis Borthwick, son of John Borthwick, 13th of Crookston and Elizabeth Sutherland Dallas, on 15 September 1864.¹ She died on 28 August 1935.¹
     From 15 September 1864, her married name became Borthwick.¹
