Caroline Amelia Denman was born on 26 August 1823.² She was the daughter of Thomas Denman, 1st Baron Denman of Dovedale and Theodosia Anne Vevers.^1,2 She married Reverend John George de la Poer Beresford, son of Admiral Sir John de la Poer Beresford, 1st Bt. and Harriet Elizabeth Peirse, on 3 February 1846.¹ She died on 23 May 1911 at age 87.¹

     John Peirse de la Poer Beresford was born on 2 December 1846.¹ He was the son of Reverend John George de la Poer Beresford and Hon. Caroline Amelia Denman.¹ He married Mary Elizabeth Thomasina Bruce, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Stewart Beresford Bruce and Marriette Hill, on 25 August 1881.¹ He died on 30 October 1902 at age 55.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the South Wales Borderers.¹
