     Major Arthur Hamilton Cooper was born on 18 January 1881.¹ He was the son of Sir William Charles Cooper, 3rd Bt. and Alice Helen Hill.² He married Mabel Alice Smith-Marriott, daughter of Sir William Henry Marriott Smith-Marriott, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Dorothy Cavendish, on 25 January 1910.¹ He died on 25 May 1973 at age 92.¹
