     Catharine Lockhart was born before 1638. She was the daughter of Alexander Lockhart.¹ She married Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 1st Bt., son of William Barclay of Pierston and Jean Boyle, on 4 August 1653.¹ She died circa March 1658/59.² She was buried on 7 March 1658/59.²
     From 4 August 1653, her married name became Barclay.¹

     He was a merchant at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹

     Barbara Deans was the daughter of James Deans.² She married Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 1st Bt., son of William Barclay of Pierston and Jean Boyle, on 28 September 1659.¹ She died circa April 1697.² She was buried on 7 April 1697.²
     From 28 September 1659, her married name became Barclay.¹

     Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 2nd Bt. was born on 21 February 1658.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 1st Bt. and Catharine Lockhart.¹ He married Bethia Baird, daughter of Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Fleming.¹ He died on 15 August 1717 at age 59 at Pierston, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.^1,2
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] in 1694/95.¹ He was Commissioner of Supply for Ayrshire in 1704.²

     Alexander Barclay was baptised on 17 December 1654.¹ He was the son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 1st Bt. and Catharine Lockhart.¹ He died circa 28 December 1681, unmarried.^1,2

     Bethia Baird was the daughter of Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Fleming.¹ She married Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 1st Bt. and Catharine Lockhart.¹ She died circa January 1731.¹ She was buried on 21 January 1731 at High Churchyard, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹
     Her married name became Barclay.¹

     Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 11 January 1676/77.² He was the son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 2nd Bt. and Bethia Baird.¹ He died in 1728 at Aachen, Germany^G, unmarried.^1,2
     In 1715 he joined the Jacobites, and escaped abroad.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] before 1717.¹ On 22 August 1720 he sold the estate of Pierston.¹

     Sir James Barclay of Pierston, 4th Bt. was born after 1678.² He was the son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 2nd Bt. and Bethia Baird.¹ He married unknown Bloyes, daughter of Captain William Bloyes, circa 1710.¹ He died on 12 January 1755 at London, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Barclay, of Pierston, co. Ayr [N.S., 1668] in 1728.¹ He graduated from University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G, in 1734 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He gained the rank of Surgeon in the Royal Navy.¹

     unknown Bloyes was the daughter of Captain William Bloyes.¹ She married Sir James Barclay of Pierston, 4th Bt., son of Sir Robert Barclay of Pierston, 2nd Bt. and Bethia Baird, circa 1710.¹
     From circa 1710, her married name became Barclay.¹

     Captain William Bloyes died on 9 April 1720.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Taunton Dean, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was also known as William Blois.²
