Sir Anthony Weldon, 4th Bt. was born on 16 June 1781 at St. John's Abbey, Athy, County Kildare, IrelandG.2 He was the son of Reverend Anthony Weldon and Anne Coghlan.2 He married Harriett Hockeley, daughter of Colonel Thomas Hockeley, on 4 January 1824.3 He died on 21 December 1858 at age 77 at Rahinderry, County Laois, IrelandG.2
He held the office of Sheriff of Queen's County in 1839.4 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Burdett, of Dunmore, co. Carlow [I., 1723] on 14 December 1840.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the East Indies.4 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1855 in the Madras Artillery.2
