     Maj.-Gen. Sir Harold Augustus Wernher, 3rd Bt. was born on 16 January 1893 at London, EnglandG.3 He was the son of Sir Julius Charles Wernher, 1st Bt. and Alice Sedgwick Mankiewicz.4 He married Anastasia Mikhailovna de Torby, Countess de Torby, daughter of Mikhail Mikhailovich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia and Sophie Nikolaievna von Merenberg, Countess de Torby, on 20 July 1917 at London, EnglandG.3 He died on 30 June 1973 at age 80.5
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.6 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.6 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was mentioned in dispatches three times.6 He gained the rank of Major in the 12th Lancers.6 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Bedfordshire.6 He held the office of High Sheriff of Bedfordshire in 1927.6 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1928 in the Territorial Army.6 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1930.6 He fought in the Second World War.6 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1942.7 He gained the rank of Honorary Major-General in 1944.6 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Wernher, of Lutton Hoo Park, co. Bedford [U.K., 1905] on 6 March 1948.6 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1949.7 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.5

     He gained the title of Count de Torby.1

She was the daughter of Georgii Mikhailovich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia and Marie zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark.1 She married Pavel Aleksandrovich Tchavchavadze, Prince Tchavchavadze on 3 September 1922 at London, EnglandG. She died on 27 February 1974 at age 72 at Wellfleet, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G.
     She gained the title of Princess Nina of Russia.1 From 3 September 1922, her married name became Tchavchavadze.

She and William Bateman Leeds, Jr. were divorced on 19 March 1930.1 She married, secondly, Herman Jud on 10 August 1946 at Glen Cove, Nassau County, New York, U.S.A.G.      From 21 September 1942, her married name became Romanoff. After her marriage, Nadine Sylvia Ada McDougall was styled as HSH Princess Nadine Romanovskya on 7 May 1951.1
