     Lieutenant James Esten was born on 23 August 1757 at London, England^G.² He was the son of James Esten and Elizabeth Dixon.² He married Harriet Pye Bennett, daughter of Admiral Sir Thomas Pye and Agnes Maria Evans.¹ He died in 1803 at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic^G.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.¹

Hon. James Smith-Stanley and Lucy Smith, on 23 June 1774 at Argyll House, Great Argyll Street, St. James's, London, England^G.³ She died on 14 March 1797 at age 44.¹
     From 23 June 1774, her married name became Smith-Stanley.³ After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Hamilton was styled as Countess of Derby on 22 February 1776. She and John Frederick Sackville, 3rd Duke of Dorset were associated in 1778.⁴

     Edward Smith-Stanley, 12th Earl of Derby was born on 12 September 1752.¹ He was the son of Rt. Hon. James Smith-Stanley and Lucy Smith.³ He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton, 6th Duke of Hamilton and Elizabeth Gunning, Baroness Hamilton of Hameldon, on 23 June 1774 at Argyll House, Great Argyll Street, St. James's, London, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Eliza Farren, daughter of George Farren, on 1 May 1797.³ He died on 21 October 1834 at age 82.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.³ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1773 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Lancashire between 1774 and 1776.³ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire between 1776 and 1834.³ He succeeded as the 12th Earl of Derby [E., 1485] on 22 February 1776.⁴ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Stanley, of Bickerstaffe, co.      Frederick Nassau de Zuylestein, 3rd Earl of Rochford was born on 31 January 1684 at Leersum, The Netherlands^G.² He was also reported to have been born in 1683.¹ He was the son of William Henry van Nassau van Zuylestein, 1st Earl of Rochford and Jane Wroth.^3,4 He married Lady Bessy Savage, daughter of Richard Savage, 4th Earl Rivers, on 3 August 1714. He died on 14 June 1738 at age 54 at Great Queen Street, Lincolns Inn Fields, London, England^G.²
     He gained the title of 3rd Earl of Rochford.¹

     Elizabeth Spencer was born at Rendlesham, Suffolk, England^G.² She is the daughter of Edward Spencer and Anne (?)^1,2 She married Sir James Dashwood, 2nd Bt., son of Robert Dashwood and Dorothy Read, on 17 February 1738/39 at Keiths Chapel, Mayfair, London, England^G.²
     From 17 February 1738/39, her married name became Dashwood.

     Sir James Dashwood, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1713 at Kirtlington, Oxfordshire, England^G.² He was the son of Robert Dashwood and Dorothy Read.³ He married Elizabeth Spencer, daughter of Edward Spencer and Anne (?), on 17 February 1738/39 at Keiths Chapel, Mayfair, London, England^G.² He died on 10 November 1779.⁴
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Dashwood, of Northbrook, Oxfordshire [E., 1684] on 14 July 1734.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Oxfordshire in 1738.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Oxfordshire between 1740 and 1754.⁴ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.)⁴ He built the mansion at Kirtlington.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Oxfordshire between 1761 and 1768.

     Claude de Beauharnais, Comte de Beauharnais gained the title of Comte de Beauharnais.¹

     Lady Mary Louise Douglas-Hamilton was born on 1 November 1884.¹ She was the daughter of William Alexander Louis Stephen Douglas-Hamilton, 12th Duke of Hamilton and Lady Mary Louise Elizabeth Montagu.¹ She married James Graham, 6th Duke of Montrose, son of Douglas Beresford Malise Ronald Graham, 5th Duke of Montrose and Violet Hermione Graham, on 14 June 1906.¹ She died on 21 February 1957 at age 72.¹
     From 14 June 1906, her married name became Graham. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.¹ After her marriage, Lady Mary Louise Douglas-Hamilton was styled as Duchess of Montrose in December 1925.
