     Lady Elizabeth Maria Guinness was born on 31 October 1939.¹ She is the daughter of Major Arthur Onslow Edward Guinness, Viscount Elveden and Lady Elizabeth Cecilia Hare.¹ She married, firstly, David Hugh Lavallin Nugent, son of Sir Hugh Charles Nugent, 6th Bt. and Margaret Mary Lavallin Puxley, on 28 September 1960.¹ She and David Hugh Lavallin Nugent were divorced in 1990.¹ She married, secondly, Robert Martin Mays-Smith, son of Lt.-Col.
